Eligibility For Admission

Silver Jubilee Home welcomes applications from elderly persons in need of care and support. The Committee, in considering the admission of any poor and needy persons to the Home, shall first assess whether applicants meet the following basic requirements:

• Are Malaysian citizens or permanent residents
• Age 60 years & above
• Are single or married with no children
• Are infirmed (physically weak)
• Fully vaccinated
• Provide on their own accord two (2) Sponsors
• Free from certain infectious diseases (e.g. HIV, Tuberculosis, Leprosy, etc.)
• Do not have any visible means of subsistence
• Must be mobile and able to take care of themselves

Responsibilities of Sponsors

• Sponsor(s) are required to respond / reply Home’s telephone calls when called or any calls from hospital(s).
• Sponsor(s) are required to inform Home any change of contact number &/or correspondence addresses.
• Sponsor(s) shall inform the Home in the event of the passing of one of the sponsors.
• Sponsor(s) must provide monetary assistance when necessary & visit the applicant regularly.
• Sponsor(s) are required to remain in contact with applicant at the Home regularly.
• In the event of any disputes with other residents, sponsor(s) may be required to counsel the resident.
• Residents may be discharged should they fail to abide by the rules and regulations of the Home on continuously creates problems for the Home.
• Sponsor(s) may propose new sponsor(s) subject to consent by the Home.
• Sponsor(s) are required to accompany residents to General/Private Hospitals or clinics.
• Sponsors must accompany residents for interview / admission.
